Okay so I doubt it was intentional, and it'll probably never be elaborated on or mentioned again (unless the filmmakers REALLY decide to feed us in Part 2), but the first time I saw that new extended Wizomania sequence where we get our Mothers explaining the new Grimmerie lore to us, I immediately headcanoned the two unnamed ancient Wise Ones™ as St. Ælphaba and St. Glinda, of Ozian theological lore — or hell, maybe even Kumbricia and Lurline, if we want to get even spicier with it.

I will never go not insane about Liir basically radicalizing himself, much like Elphaba did, with directly going (or better, flying) against the Emperor aka bitch ass Wizard replacement. And you know I#d go even more insane if there was any chance for an adaptation of "Son of a Witch" with Liir using the same war declaration as Elphaba, with Glinda standing right there and then with Trism and having the biggest flashback of her dear life 😔

saw wicked today for the 2nd time, first time since january 2020 and i didn't realise how heartbreaking the ending was before. like yeah elphaba and fiyero pretty much got their happy ending but like GLINDA DIDNT!!! glinda believes that the two people she loves most are both dead and she has to act like she's happy about it. why did i not realise how heartbreaking this was before
